Starting Nursery September 2020

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

Due to the current situation, we aren't able to run our normal transition sessions.  It saddens us that we won't be able to meet parents in person and we won't be able to welcome children into school for a visit but we have to follow government advice to not have visitors into school.

We have decided to do as much as we can virtually.  Please do have a look at these videos and documents that we have added to this page and share them with your child to help prepare them.

We have included information about getting your child ready for school and also about practical aspects such as getting school uniform and our before and after school provision (Little Stones).  Please be aware that currently Little Stones are not able to operate because they are not able to keep bubbles of children apart in different locations across school as is currently required.  We do not know whether they will be able to operate in September or not.

We will be running a transition information session for parents and carers via Zoom.  The Nursery transition session will be on Thursday 25th June at 6pm.  We will email you a link for this.  Please be aware that this session is intended for parents and carers and not for children.  For safeguarding reasons, please try to ensure that children are out of camera shot during the meeting.

Please be aware that at the moment, we do not know what the situation will be in September.  We do not know whether we will be able to open as normal, whether we will have to work with small class bubbles as we are currently, whether we will have to have partial timetables.  As soon as we have more clarity, we will be in touch.

If you have any questions or particular worries then the Nursery teachers can be reached directly at

We look forward to meeting you all in September.

Stay safe,

Rebecca Willard
