Livingstone's Centenary

In June 2015, Livingstone Primary School celebrated its centenary.

We had a number of exciting events including:

  • Theme Day where children (and teachers) traveled back in time to 1915.  Lessons included sewing, drill, arithmetic, darning, handwriting, nature studies.   There was also a hand and nail hygiene inspection and little punishment 1915 style .....!
  • Celebratory Assembly to which former pupils and teachers were invited.  All classes performed.
  • Whole school photograph
  • Open morning for former pupils and teachers to see the school in action today and reminisce.

It made us realise how much has changed in the last 100 years but also how much has stayed the same!
