‘Grow, Learn, Achieve Together’

Career and Aspirations Week 2017

From the 10th - 14th July Livingstone had our first 'Career and Aspirations Week'. The week was designed to allow the children to learn about the world of work and take time to think about their future careers.

We were lucky enough to have lots of volunteers who came into school to talk to the children about their chosen career. We had a varied selection including: a former army corporal; a cardiac nurse; a hyrdrologist; an outdoor education tutor; an occupational therapist;a paramedic; a member of the fire service; and a health visitor.

The children loved to hear all about these different careers and were able to ask many searching questions to give them a greater understanding of what it means to have a job and how they can work towards a career in their chosen field.
